Spuder is the boss of the Chapter 1. It is located in Snakemouth Den and guards the Ancient Mask.

Battles

In the first and second fights, Spuder cannot be damaged as it has maximum stats. Due to Leif's magic weakening it when it appears in the deepest part of Snakemouth Den, it can be damaged in its third and final battle.

Spuder is able to move twice in one turn. It has two states during battle: Grounded and hanging from a web.

During the course of the battle, it will summon an Inichas and a Jellyshroom when its HP drops past 50%, and will shoot 2 poison bubbles when hanging instead of one. It can also breath out poisonous clouds that hits all the members and poisons them. Despite the fact that he can trap the explorers in webs, he can't do so in battle.

At the start of the battle, you should stick to using normal attacks. Keep Kabbu out of front line in case you'll need to Taunt later. You can use Secret Stash to heal if needed, but make a sure to save at least 4 HP by the Spuder's 50% HP mark. Once it summons assistance, put Leif at front, flip the Inichas, knock down the Spuder if he's hanging and hit all enemies with an Icefall. If you do this right, you'll take out the Inichas, Freeze the Jellyshroom and, if you're lucky, the Spuder. Afterwards, keep attacking and healing when needed until you win.

Leif	"This may be unbecoming of us but... After so long, we're going to get revenge. For all the time we spent on that cocoon... you will suffer tenfold! As long as Bee keeps it knocked down, we will attack it without a hint of mercy!"

Trivia

Spuder is only known as "Spider" in the full release of the game, despite Spuder being it's confirmed name from the Devs.
In the demo, the party can re-battle Spuder if they go in the first big door in Snakemouth Den after finishing the demo chapter.
- In the full version, the big door instead leads you to the entrance of Upper Snakemouth.
