Ironnails are snail-like enemies that mainly appear in Forsaken Lands. Related to Numbnails, they have two eyes instead of one, and a much harder shell, with a creamy and grey color. Their main attacks also include shooting sleep-inducing beams at one of the party members, but they'll fire two lasers instead of one, both are slow and fairly easy to block. They've got a new attack however, that is charging up and dashes at one party member dealing high damage.
Their initial defense and lack of weaknesses means that Vi and Leif cannot damage them without any boosts if they're not in the front, so Break is recommended to deal with such defense. Like Numbnails, they tend to hide inside their shells when receiving a successful non-flipping attack, and Kabbu can draw them out with his horn. Since their charging attack only hits one random target, it's usually better off using Cleanse on them (or Bubble Shield Lite, though this is unreliable unless you shield the party member in the front or a taunted Kabbu since they're more likely to be hit) than using a full Bubble Shield when they charge up. They will still dash at their target, but this will now deal less damage.
