Exploration Team

Team Snakemouth, the newest Exploration Team formed by the beginning of the game.

Exploration Teams are small groups of bugs in Bugaria that were tasked with searching for the Everlasting Sapling. There are many teams scattered throughout the land. Every team's ultimate goal is to locate the sapling, though many teams are hired by third parties to aid them with their problems.

History

After the Ant Kingdom was founded, the young Queen Elizant scoured Bugaria for the relic known as the Everlasting Sapling, which was said to grant eternal life. However, Elizant died before she could find it. The duty was then passed onto her daughter who then founded the Explorers' Association in an effort to succeed where her mother failed.

Trivia

• In spite of the 2 bugs per team limit, Team Snakemouth and Team Maki have more than two members.
  • According to Genow, this was an early plot point that was intended to mean that no one would wander alone. Stating that "[they] could've thought about [it] a bit more".
  • In the 0.4 demo, Maki states that "Teams should have at least two [members]." This implies that the two bugs limit was originally meant to specify a limit on minimum and not required to be exclusively two.
• Team Snakemouth, Team Ant, Team Bookwork, and Team Slacker are the only teams whose names aren't based on the leader.
• Reeves is the only member of a explorer's team to have been a backer character.
